So why the switch to drawing using a digital pen and tablet? The answer is to keep up with the demand of customers. In the former days of auto shows and art exhibits clients wanted to see there own car on the canvas not just a likeness. With many request Danny had coming there was no way he could satisfy all the demands with the time it took to create each painting. One painting could take up to 4 months to complete. So as time progressed Danny acquire the knowledge to draw with a digital pen and took things to a new level.
It was in 2000 he began utilizing a Wacom drawing tablet and digital pen to produce all the various colors, factory options and more. This way he was able to satisfy the demand of the Customers. They got what they wanted and a happy customer is a satisfied customer!
Several of the cars-of-the-future art feature a gradual changeover from hand paintings to digital. His paint media of choice used was Winsor Newton Designer Gouache and Winsor Newton Acrylic. Applied with water color brushes & airbrush.
